Sacral chakra – Savadhisthana by tahl rinsky

Time to illuminate our second chakra Savadhisthana. With all honesty I struggled to express Orange, might have just been a bad creative day for me or possibly when challenging my creativity with this chakra my mind went blank. But as this chakra is all about your self worth, I am allowing myself to be vulnerable and express my imperfections, my confusion and my constant questioning of my creative process.

Sacral chakra – Savadhisthana  |  Color: Orange

Is located five cm below the naval, the sacral chakra governs our sexuality, creativity, intuition, self-worth and nurturing instinct. It is the sense of ‘I FEEL’.
It is related to a wide range of emotional issues, including our ability to get along with others and accept situations. Here we can build mutually supportive relationships with good boundaries. This chakra often offers us the opportunity to lesson our "control issues" and find a balance in our lives. Teaching us the acceptance and rejection are not the only options in our relationship. The process of making changes in our life stream through our personal choices is a product of the second chakra.

On the physical side its related to kidney problems, painful menstrual cycles, lower back pain, urinary track infections and sometimes addictions. With a healthy sacral chakra, you are able to live in the moment and experience life to the fullest.  Physical tasks become easier while stamina increases.

The Stories we Tell. by tahl rinsky

When I look at these photos together, they evoke all different types of emotions. Images like Symbols have a powerful effect on the human mind. The same image can create a totally unique experience for 2 different people depending on what emotional, physical or mental state they are in.

The story below is about friendship, support and love. I chose not to write captions below so you can fill in the gaps and create your own experience.

If you're feeling inspired, write your own captions and in the comments below share with me the story these photographs evoke in your mind and heart.

With Love,

Tahl.

Yoga and Art by tahl rinsky

I've spent a lot of my life thinking rather than doing. There were always so many options to choose from I just couldn't keep focused on one thing. I wanted to use my body physically so I thought I should go into personal training (this was before I discovered yoga) I wanted to work with people so I thought to be a massage therapist, but more than anything I always wanted to be creative, I took photos, I painted a little, I made beautiful diaries and collages. I tried it all, but I didn't know how to bring it all together.

A few months ago I realised that I can be everything, in fact I'm in my element being this multi tasking girl. Using my yoga practice, my body to make art. Using photography to inspire people to practice yoga and think outside the square. It's finally working - the reason I know it is, is because I'm happy, I'm inspired and I no longer fear what people will think.

Yoga is a practice, its a way of life but its also a platform for self expression, a place for the soul to experience itself. We can say the same thing about art so why not marry the 2?
